Tips to Enjoy Your Life Under Lockdown

Mum Dressing VS Dad Dressing

Mums usually do the dressing up, they make sure their baby wears comfortable yet nice-looking outfits. Whereas dads… let’s take a look at how Brooke’s husband Jeremy dressed up their baby.

It’s time to do a mum versus dad dressing competition, take the photos, make your family members vote! This will be a lifetime memory for you and your baby!

Here’s a chart for your dressing competition!

Audiobooks

Many parents are worried about the increased screen time during the lockdown but they have chores to do so they need their children to focus on something. Why not replace the television/ computer/ iPads with audiobooks?

It’s a good time to train your children’s listening skills. Audible is offering free audiobooks for kids, no need to pay, no need to sign in, all you need to do is choose a story and start listening! Something educational and fun!

Virtual Tour

No need to buy airplane tickets, technology now brings you everywhere you wish to go, virtually. Many museums have teamed up with Google Map to offer free virtual tours for everyone, for instance, the well-known British Museum.

Baby Yoga

It’s time for some stretching! Move around with your kids and do some yoga. There are plenty of baby yoga tutorials online, pick the one that fits your child’s age and start moving. Remember to warm up and bring a yoga mat.

Growing Plants

Growing plants isn’t that complicated. If you have mung beans (green beans) or red beans left at home, take 5-10 of the beans, prepare a plastic cup, tissue, and water then you’re ready to go.

  1. Fold the tissue and put it in the cup.
  2. Spread the beans evenly on the tissue.
  3. Add some water to the cup.
  4. Put the cup near the window.

It’s a good opportunity for the kids to see things grow day by day.

Easy Chores

Mop the Floor
Too much energy to waste? Give your kids some cloth, let them mop the floors. It’s good to get things cleaned and sanitize your house properly.

Fold Clothes
Yes, you read it right. It’s a great time to explore different ways of folding clothes. Many are acquiring the Marie Kondo way of folding clothes to save space at home.

Above all, I would recommend you to download a time-lapse photography app to record the moments. Lockdown might be inconvenient but we can make the time enjoyable together with our family.
